"Jesse L DeMille, aged 84, a life-long resident of Titusville, died at his home, 895 West Spring Street, at 4 am yesterday. He was born on Gilson Ridge on November 1, 1860, a son of Caleb and Hannah Gibbons DeMille. He was married to Miss Rose Bevins on Dec 24, 1899, and they celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary last holiday season. To Mr and Mrs DeMille were born six children, all living. They are Bessie, wife of F C Peterson of Dempseytown; Gerald DeMille of Pomona, Calif; Cecil DeMille of Franklin; Mrs Zella Trout; Norene, wife of C H Archer, and Lyle DeMille, all of Titusville. There are 10 grandchildren, three great grandchildren; a sister, Mrs Rose Peterson of Dempseytown; a half-sister and four half-brothers. Mr DeMille was a carpenter by trade and had a large acquaintance in the Titusville community. The body is at the home, 895 West Spring street, where friends may call and where services will be conducted at 2 pm Friday. Rev Justin Lynn Dix of the First Baptist church will officiate and interment will be in Woodlawn. Arrangements by Cummins-Musser funeral home."
