Mr. Boren
Delmond G. (Punk) Boren of Andrews died there March 25. He was 54.
Services were held Friday at McKinney Acres Baptist church in Andrews with Rev. Ted Short officiating. Burial was in Andrews Cemetery.
He was born in Tarzan and moved to Andrews in 1956. He was employed with Andrews County for more than 38 years and was Precinct 3 foreman for ten years.
He was a member of the Andrews Volunteer Fire Department, the International Order of Odd Fellows, and the Andrews Chamber of Commerce. He was also a member of the McKinney Acres Baptist Church in Andrews.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Anita Boren; a son, Delmond Don Boren; three daughters, Linda Gann and Beverly Gannaway, all of Andrews, and Paula Swann of Southlake; his mother, Ina Mae Boren; four brothers, Tim Boren, Danny Boren and Larry Murphee, all of Andrews, and Dale Boren of Grapevine; three sisters, Ina Faye Doyle of Gatesville, Birdie Evelyn Hiedleberry of Stanton, and Dorothy Sue Padgent of Robert Lee; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
