Emmitt Marion Odom, 84 of Blackville, died Thursday, May 24, 2001.
Funeral services were held Saturday, May 26, at Folk Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Randall Gillam officiating. Burial was in Barnwell Memorial Park. Folk Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Odom was born in Barnwell County. He was the son of the late George Trenholm Odom and Minnie Belle Hair Odom.
He was a self-employed mechanic, an honorary member of the Blackville Police Department and a member of Healing Springs Baptist Church.
Survivors include Lois Hoover, Alberta Abbott, George Owens, Gypsy Platt, Oliver and Reggie Croft and many other nieces and nephews.
