Mrs. Baker Dies Monday
Mrs. Delores Baker, 49, Cass City, died suddenly Monday, April 5.
She was born July 11, 1926, in Flint, daughter of the late Francis and Myrtle Hill Sowden. She came to the Cass City area as a small child.
She married Rodney Karr, Jan. 22, 1944, in Cass City. He died Jan. 19, 1968.
She married Galen Baker, Aug. 11, 1969, in Ubly.
She is survived by her husband; three sons, Roger Karr of Midland, Myron Karr of Milford, and Timothy Karr of Alma; three stepsons, Terry Baker of Flint, Ronald Baker of St. Peter, Minn., and Robert Baker of Wauseon, Ohio; seven brothers, Clifford Sowden of Yale, Morris Sowden of Caro, David Sowden of Almont, Marshall Sowden, Donald Sowden, Wayne Spencer and Mason Spencer, all of Cass City; two sisters, Mrs. Robert Brown and Mrs. Dean Rabideau, all of Cass City; one stepsister, Miss Susan Kappen of Cass City; her stepmother, Mrs. Lester Kappen of Cass City, and 10 grandchildren. One brother, Billy, preceded her in death.
Funeral services were scheduled Thursday at 1:00 p.m. from Little's Funeral Home with Rev. Eldred Kelley, pastor of Salem United Methodist church, officiating.
Burial will be in Elkland cemetery.
