Wilmina Gebauer, age 85, of Orange City, died Tuesday, August 6,2002, at the Floyd Valley Hospital in Le Mars.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, August 10, at 10:30am at the American Reformed Church in Orange City. The Rev. Lizbeth Calsbeek officiated. Burial followed at West Lawn Cemetery in Orange City under the direction of the Oolman Funeral Home, Orange City.
Wilmina Marie was born November 19, 1916, at Doon, the daughter of Edward and Mamie (Van Driel) Kleinhesselink.
She was raised south of Orange City.
On March 28,1935, she married Ralph Gebauer at Le Mars. They first lived at Alton and then moved to Orange City in the early 1940s. "Olie" died October 10, 1991, at Spirit Lake.
In February of 1996, Wilmina became a resident of the Brentwood Good Samaritan Center in Le Mars.
Mrs. Gebauer was a lifetime member of the American Reformed Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Survivors include her three daughters and their husbands, Joan and Duane Poppen of Sioux City, Myrna and Verne Wielenga of Orange City and Barbara and Gerald Brock, of Le Mars; a son and his wife, Ralph Junior and Carol Gebauer of Sioux Falls, S.D.; 13 grandchildren, 40
great-grandchildren, and a great-greatgrandson.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a great-grandson, Jamie Morten; a brother, Arthur Kleinhesselink; and a sister, Geraldine De Vries.
Memorials are being directed to the Brentwood Auxillary.
