MILLERSBURG- Dean E. Daniels, age 91, of Millersburg, PA, died June 27, 2012, at the Manor of Susquehanna Village, where he resided for about eight years. Dean is survived by his wife, Marion, of Millersburg, his son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey and Patricia Daniels of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, his grand-daughters, Cathy Daniels of Ft. Lauderdale, and Rachel Daniels Hayes (Bryan), of Tallahassee, Florida, and his great-grandson, Logan Hayes, of Tallahassee. He is also survived by his brother, Gerald Daniels of Lykens, and his sister, Esther Teter, of Dauphin. Dean is a veteran of the Army Air Corp in WW II, where he was stationed overseas in Burma. He was born June 3, 1921, in Wiconisco. He married Marion Straup in September of 1949 and they moved to Millersburg where they raised their son, Jeff. Dean worked at the Upper Dauphin Sentinel for many years. Services will be held on Monday, July 2, at 11:00 am in the Chapel of the Manor of Susquehanna Village. Visitation will start at 10:00 am at the Manor. Burial with military honors will be at Davids Cemetery in Killinger. Arrangements by Hoover-Boyer Funeral Home in Millersburg.
