GREENSBURG RECORD HERALD OBITUARY – 10/06/2010
Mrs. Lorene Kinnaird Moss of Greensburg, daughter of the late Percy Kinnaird & Inez Hamilton Kinnaird, was born March 15, 1918 in Metcalfe County and departed this life Tuesday, Sept. 28, 2010 at the Medco Center of Campbellsville. She was 92 years, 6 months and 13 days of age. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Greensburg United Methodist Church and was a homemaker. She united in marriage to Hodges Alford Moss April 1, 1945 who preceded her in death July 9, 1991. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Hodges Aaron & Kathryne Moss of Coxs Creek; a daughter and son-in-law, Marilyn & David Milby of Summersville; 5 grandchildren, John David (Maranda) Milby of Summersville, Adam Ray (Nicole) Milby of TN, Annette Kay (Kenny) Perkins of Buffalo, Ann Michelle Moss of Greensburg and Chris (Kasey) Moss of Campbellsville; 8 great-grandchildren, Nathaniel Virge Milby, John David Milby, Danielle Faith Milby, all of Summersville, Ava Rayne Milby of TN, Samantha Kay Perkins, Savannah Leigh Perkins, both of Buffalo, Justin Moss and Ashton Moss, both of Campbellsville; 1 step-grandchild, Christy Rodgers of Coxs Creek; 1 step-great-grandchild, Matthew Gideon Rodgers of Coxs Creek; and a host of other relatives and friends. Mrs. Moss was also preceded in death by 5 brothers and a sister, Ray Kinnaird, Albert Kinnaird, J.T. Kinnaird, Kelly Kinnaird, Betty R. Kinnaird and Clay Kinnaird. The funeral services for Mrs. Lorene Kinnaird Moss were conducted at 2 p.m., Friday, Oct. 1, 2010 at the Cowherd & Parrott Funeral Home with burial in the Smith Cemetery in Sulphur Well. Rev. Dale Curry officiated. Pallbearers were David Milby, John Milby, Adam Milby, Kenny Perkins, Aaron Moss, Chris Moss and Matthew Rodgers. Memorials are suggested to Hosparus of Central Kentucky or the Greensburg United Methodist Church, which can be made at the funeral home.
