Rush Tankersley, aged 74, of Little Rock, a retired Imperial Laundry Company route-man, died Sunday, April 21, 1985. He was the son of the late James Burgess Tankersley and Mary Ella Swain Tankersley of Blytheville and was a Baptist. He received a Presidential Citation for his work at the atomic bomb works during World War II. Survivors are his wife, Ruth Ross Tankersley; a son James Henry Tankersley of Crossville, TN; two daughters, Patricia Ann Milligan of Corpus Christi, TX and Phillis Kay Cheeseman of Alice, TX; two brothers, Grover C. Tankersley of Little Rock, AR and Rex B. Tankersley of Lakewood, CA; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Drummond Funeral Home by Rev. Don Lutrick. Burial in Pine Crest Memorial Park.
