Essie Marie Smith married Christopher Columbus Easter in McLennan, Texas, on October 21, 1919, when she was 18 years old. Through the years they continued to live in McLennan County, Texas where they had eight children together. Their marriage desolved in the 1940s, and Essie Easter later married Frank M Flint on May 3, 1969, in McLennan, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband Frank Flint in 1977. Essie Smith Easter Flint died on January 16, 1982, in Waco, Texas, at the age of 80, and was buried in Mart Cemetery, Mart, McLennan County, Texas.
