George S. Addlesburger, 82, of Route 3, New Matamoras, died March 28 in Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was born in Washington County, a son of the late George and Rosa Farnsworth Addlesburger. He had spent most of his life in the Rea's Run Community and had been employed by the Interstate Pipeline Co. And the McGraw Co. He is survived by two sons, Kenneth Farnsworth of Canton and Eugene Addlesburger of New Matamoras; three daughters, Mrs. Wallace (Clara) Williams of Parkersburg, Rose Starcher of St. Marys, and Mrs. Herman (Alice) Adams of New Matamoras; 15 grandchildren; 11 great- grandchildren; 11 step grandchildren; 13 step great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Carrie Burnside of Lower Salem, Myrtle Gilbert of Tuscon, AZ, and Mable McFarren of Apple Creek, OH. He was preceded in death by one son, Larry Addlesburger; three great- grandchildren; one sister, Mary Addlesburger. Funeral services were held Tuesday at McClure-Schafer Funeral Home with the Rev. James Skedel officiating. Burial was in Newport Cemetery.
