ARANSAS PASS — Mrs. Irene M. Snyder, 91, passed away Tuesday in a Corpus Christi nursing home. She was born in San Antonio and was married to Charles Sidney Snyder who died in 1961. She resided in Aransas Pass since 1919 until moving to Corpus Christi in 1967. She was a life member of the First Baptist Church in Aransas Pass, which she joined in 1919. She was also affiliated with the West Heights Baptist Church of Corpus Christi. She was a charter member and past president of the Women's Auxiliary of the John Eible [Wiebel] V.F.W. Post. She was also a charter member and honorary life member of the Aransas Pass Grandmothers' Club. Survivors include six sons, Herbert S. of San Antonio, Justin C. of Aransas Pass, Leslie E. of Houston, Charles W. of Corpus Christi, Lawrence E. of Corpus Christi and Harwood E. of Corpus Christi; two daughters, Mrs. Mildred L. Taylor of Sapulpa, Oklahoma, and Mrs. Irene M. Ransleven[Ransleben] of College Station; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the First Baptist Church in Aransas Pass with Rev. George Sims officiating. Interment will be in the Prairie View Cemetery. Under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home in Aransas Pass.
