Our loving son and brother, Brett MacKay Petersen, graduated from this life on June 20, 2012 in Ventura California. He was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on August 18, 1965 to Robert G. Petersen and Karen MacKay Petersen.
He graduated from Hillcrest High School in 1983 where he was elected the Husky Mascot! He had a cheerful and outgoing personality and enjoyed a crowd and attention!
He graduated from the U of U in communications and recently earned a juris doctorate from the Southern California Institute of Law. He was currently employed by the CA institute of law, and the Good Will where he helped people and touched many lives.
He is survived by his mother, Karen Petersen, his father, Robert (Jan) Petersen, brothers Clay (Kike), Jeff (Loni) and sisters, Marni Petersen and Niki Jensen, nieces Shantel, McKell, and Kayla Petersen and nephew, Coby Jensen and dog Chloe.
Celebration of Brett's life will be Friday, June 29, 2012 at 1:00 pm at Jenkins-Soffe South Valley, 1007 W South Jordan Parkway (10600 So) where friends may gather prior to celebration from 11:30-12:45. Interment at Larkin Sunset Gardens.
