He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, a recipient of the Bronze Star and was a member of Greensburg Masonic Lodge and Independence Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Davis, Amite, and Jeanette Finch, Prairieville; two brothers, Karl Finch, Baton Rouge, and Jerry Finch, Amite; seven grandchildren, Wesley R. Finch, Chad S. Finch, Taylor Davis Finch, Erin M.
