Thelma Oleta Moten, 74 of 513 Miller Ave. Hinton died at 2:00 a.m. Saturday March 24, 2007 in Summers County A.R.H. following a short illness.

Born April 29, 1932 in Hinton, she was the daughter of the late Frank H. & Gloria O. Lilly Moten.

Thelma was a clerk for CSX Transportation Corporation in Hinton, retiring in 1993 with 42 years of service. She was a 1949 graduate of Hinton High School and was a member of First Baptist Church of Hinton. She was also a member of the Brotherhood of Railway Clerks, and was a lifelong resident of Hinton.

She was preceded in death by a brother, James E. Moten, Sr. in 1973.

Graveside services & burial will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday March 25, 2007 at Restwood Memorial Gardens in Hinton with Pastor Robbie Merritt officiating. Those attending services are asked to meet at the cemetery.
