Katherine Kizziah Sipes, a loving mother, grandmother, G.G., and friend, and a resident of Greenwell Springs, passed away at The Care Center Nursing Home on Monday, June 25, 2012. She was 79 and a native of Vance, Alabama.
Visiting at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, until religious services in the chapel, conducted by Rev. Milford Walters. Interment to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Baker.
Survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Janice and John Warner of Central; two sons, James Howton of Baton Rouge, and Jerry Sipes of Houston; a sister, Lula Mae Fowler of Alabama; three brothers, Marvin Kizziah of Tennessee, Victor Kizziah of Florida, and Eugene Kizziah of Washington; two grandchildren, Jessica and Justin Warner; and two great-grandchildren, Kinzley and Payton Warner.
Preceded in death by husband, Barney Sipes; parents, Rosie Lee and William Kizziah; three brothers, Floyd, Billy, and Ernest Kizziah; and brother-in-law, Melvin Kirby.
Katherine was a member of Greenwell Springs Baptist Church.
