Gordon County Man Dies Tuesday Morning
R.E.L. Bennett, 69, died at his home near Calhoun Tuesday morning after an illness of several weeks. Mr. Bennett had lived all his life in Gordon County.
He is survived by his wife, one daughter, Mrs. G.L. Reynolds; one daughter, Mrs. G.L. Reynolds; one son, D.G. Bennett; one brother, J.D. Bennett, all of Calhoun. Several grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services were held from Harmony Church Wednesday afternoon a 1:30 o'clock. Rev. Goss officating, music by Lewis Quartet. Grandsons and nephews of Mr. Bennett were the pallbears. Interment was in Harmony cemetery. Jackson Funeral Home in charge.

Mr. Roy Reynolds has returned to school in Baron, Ky., after attending the furneral of his grandfather, Mr. Bob Bennett.
