Margaret worked alongside her husband at Hoen's Orchard and Farm Market where she kept the books and managed the market. She was a member of the Farm Bureau and a charter member of Providence Lutheran Church, where she was active as the Superintendent of the Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, Woman of the Church, Prayer Chain, Outreach Projects, and the Thanksgiving and Christmas Food Basket Program. Margaret was also a member of the Sewing Club, Holland Springfield Spencer Historical Society, and she enjoyed bunco and crocheting. She will be best remembered for making afghans and slippers for all her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Ellen M. (George) Leiendecker, Michael W. (Antonette) Hoen, Carol A. (Robert) Zeigler, and David P. Hoen; 11 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren, as well as her sister in law, Patricia Snyder. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, George and Leola; husband, William Hoen, and her brother, Robert Snyder.
