The third surviving daughter of Gerard Noel (1759-1838), 2nd Baronet and a Member of Paliament. Her brother was Charles Noel Noel (1781-1866), who in 1841 was created 1st Earl of Gainsborough. She is buried with her second husband Thomas Thompson.

Widow by her First Marriage of Thomas Welman, Esq. and by her Second Marriage of Thomas Thompson, Esq. with whom for 26 years she wrought many a labor of love, serving the Lord, and ministering to his household.
