She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, John Miller Blakey; daughter, Verity Blakey Day; and brother, C. William Verity.
She is survived by sister, Jean Woodhull; and her daughter, Lisa Thompson; son-in-laws, Charles Thompson, Nathaniel Day and wife Lucy; five grandchildren, E.V. Day and husband Ted Lee, Annabelle Day, Francesca Thompson Green, Blake Thompson, Mark Thompson and wife Marcia Buckley Thompson; four great grandchildren, Cooper and Palmer Green and Brigid and Cameron Thompson; three wonderful care givers, Lila Kozlowski, Krystyna Ganowska and Amanda VanSlyke.
She lived life to the fullest until the last moment. Her garden was her joy and she loved sharing it with all.
A private service will be held this week and she will be interred in the Columbarium at the Atwill Memorial Chapel in Northport Point, Michigan at a later date.
