"Mrs. Dorothea A. Purviance, 58, Barnard, died at 5:02 p.m. today at the St. Francis Hospital where she had been a patient three days following an illness of six years.
She was born October 24, 1913 in Nodaway county, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Garland Clements, and was married September 1, 1931, at St. Joseph, to Ray Purviance, who survives.
Other survivors are six brothers, Cecil Clements, Rosendale; Donald Clements and Earl Clements, both of Fort Myers, Florida; Hubert Clements, St. Joseph and Robert Clements and Bill Clements, both of Barnard; and one sister, Mrs. Ray Rasco, Cupertino, CA.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Price Funeral Home, Maryville. The Rev. J.J. Munshaw will officiate and burial will be in the Nodaway Memorial Gardens.
The family will meet friends from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home."
