Uncle Tommy was the fourth child and oldest son of Elias and Mary War Nan Johnson Laster. He was born near Troy. He never married. His father became blind when Tommy was a child and he spent his life carring for his parents and younger siblings. He was a carpenter and farmer.Uncle Tommy was my great uncle.
