Gerald Gordon Rightnowar the son of Clarence M. Rightnowar and Ethel Rose Closser Rightnowar was born July 4th, 1930 at Midco, Missouri. Gerald passed away at the Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri, Tuesday June 19th, 2012 making his age 81 years 11 months and 15 days.
Gerald was united in marriage to Rhoda Faye Sullivan, June 1st, 1950. To their union four children were born, a infant son Richard who died at birth, Arnold Gordon , Marilyn Faye and Carol Sue.
Gerald enjoyed fishing, hunting, and checking his cows. He loved listening to his great grandchildren play and talking to friends and family from the shade of his front porch.
Gerald is preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Ehtel, four his children, baby Richard Rightnowar, Arnold Gordon Rightnowar, Marilyn Faye Sykes, Carol Sue Bell, 1 sister Bonnie Sullivan, 1 brother David Rightnowar.
Gerald is survived by his wife of 62 years, Rhoda of the home in Summersville; brothers, Bill Rightnowar and wife Regina of House Springs, Missouri, Don Rightnowar and wife Judy of Winona, Missouri, son-in-law Daryl Bell of Summersville, Missouri, grandchildren, Bradley Bell and wife Rebekah, Emily Steelman and husband Rob all of Summersville, Missouri; Arnold F. Rightnowar of Joplin, Missouri; Dean Rightnowar and wife Amber of Manhattan, Kansas, Randy Rightnowar and friend Jennifer of Willow Springs, Missouri and 10 great grandchildren.
Graveside funeral services will be held Friday, June 22, 2012 at 10:00 AM at Mount Zion Cemetery in Winona, Missouri with Rev. Chester Webster officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday evening at Bradford Funeral Home in Summersville from 6 to 8 Pm. Interment will be in Mount Zion Cemetery in Winona, Missouri under the care of Bradford Funeral Home of Summersville.
