Their marriage: "1839, Sept. 26 - Alpheus Parrott and Isabella Borland...", page 24.

[Two days later, Emeline Parrott & Charles Sweezy Borland married - probably siblings of the above?, also page 24.

The marriage records are found here:
"Records of the Ridgebury Presbyterian Church with Inscriptions of Nearby Cemeteries and other Genealogical Notes" compiled/appended/indexed by William J Coulter, Mary Flynn, Helen M Benjamin, Goshen, NY: The Orange County Genealogical Society, 1993.

I suspect that Alpheus' parents are Samuel Parrott and Phebe Bailey, but have no proof as yet. Unfortunately, the church records book contains no child baptisms.

Phebe Bailey - http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=38577629
Samuel Parrott - http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=38577651

Where Samuel's memorial says "Son of John Parrott", I don't know who that is. The entry quoted from from "Pioneer Families of Orange County, New York" by Martha Reamy and Bill Reamy, 1993, includes info on this family ONLY from FamilySearch.org's IGI, a source riddled with errors. No vital records, church records, or even history books are sourced.

Samuel is the brother of Nathan Paret, and Phebe is the sister of Christiana Bailey, buried in the same cemetery only 2 rows apart. I believe that my G2GF, Horace Denton Paret, is their child. (In Nathan's Letter of Administration, their surnames are given as Parret. Variety!)
