"MARYVILLE, Mo. -- Charles E. Zapf, 85, Maryville, died Saturday, Feb. 11, 1985, at his home.

Mr. Zapf was born and raised in Graham, Mo., and was a graduate of the Graham High School. He was a resident of Maryville for 32 years. He attended the Chillicothe Business School, the Northwest Missouri State College and the University of Missouri. Mr. Zapf was a member of the Maryville First Presbyterian Church and the Men's Forum.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Lovelace, in 1980; four sisters and three brothers.

Surviving are a son, Phillip R., of Maryville; a daughter, Nola Lee Stickler of St Joseph; a sister, Helen Bernstein of Maryville; four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
