WARE SHOALS
Hazel Boyd "H.B." Anderson, 78, widower of Edith Drake Anderson, of Lake City, formerly of Ware Shoals, died Oct 13, 1999. at a Florence hospital.
Born in Waterloo, he was a son of the late John Wofford and Minnie Redden Anderson. He was a former Chief of Police for Ware Shoals, and he retired from the water department. Town of Ware Shoals and Riegel Textiles. He was a member of Northside Baptist Chapel and a former member of Ware Shoals First Baptist Church. He was a World War II veteran, serving as a military policeman, and a member of American Legion Post 100.
Survivors include two sons, W.W. "Billy" Anderson of Westminister and Paul Anderson of Lake City; three daughters, Mrs. Suzanne Miller of Malaybalay, Philippines, Jerry W. Crawford of Hodges and Mrs. Ann W. Turner of Roswell, Ga.; 11 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at Parker-White Funeral Home by the Rev. Dan Compton and the Rev. Gary Hanna. Burial will be in Mount Olive Cemetery.
Visitation is from 5-7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. The family is at the home of Jerry W. Crawford, Hodges.
