DODGE CITY, Kan. - Leroy A. Hamilton, 84, died Saturday, July 31, 2004.
Vigil will be at 7 p.m. today followed by Knights of Columbus rosary at Burkhart-Ziegler Funeral Home Chapel. Mass will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe with the Rev. Ted A. Skalsky officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery.

Mr. Hamilton was born Dec. 8, 1919, in Fowler, Kan. On June 15, 1946, he married Verna M. Brakhage in Dodge City.

Survivors include his wife; four sons, Sheldon Hamilton of Overland Park, Stanley Hamilton and Dennis Hamilton, both of Dodge City, and Gerard Hamilton of Garden City; a daughter, Mary Jo Gabel of Springfield, Mo.; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be to Macular Degeneration Foundation in care of Burkhart-Ziegler Funeral Chapel, 1901 N. 14th Ave., Dodge City, KS 67801.
