Funeral services for Mrs. Thelma Jean Pigg, 72, of Hilham, were conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, July 23, 2004, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home.

Burial was in Maxwell Chapel Cemetery with Bro. Tom Greenwood officiating.

Mrs. Pigg died Wednesday, July 21 at her home. She was a retired factory worker of Botany Shirt Factory and KMA Manufacturing and a member of Holly Springs Church of Christ.

Born August 8, 1931, in Overton County, she was the daughter of the late Lester and Ova (Gibbons) Bennett. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arvin L. Pigg; a daughter, Joyce Barlow; and two nephews, Keith Hammock and Barry Bennett.

Survivors include six sons, Kenny Pigg, Frank Pigg, David Pigg, Donald Pigg, and Jerry Pigg, all of Hilham, and Clifton Pigg of Livingston; two daughters, Elaine Daniels of Monroe and Pam Huddleston of Colorado Springs, CO; eight grandchildren; four great grandchildren; a special friend, Jean Byrd of Jamestown; and a special nephew, Lannie Bennett of Bethpage.

Pallbearers were Jason Daniels, Jacob Daniels, Charlie Huddleston, Ray Austin, Brad Edens, and Lear Pigg.
