Our 3rd great uncle, Francis was the son of William Rowley and Sophia Lesnett. He was first married to Elizabeth Gilmore and they had three children: William G., Mary and Nancy Ann. After Elizabeth's death Francis married Mary Winters. He lived near Bridgeville, S. Fayette Twp, Allegheny Co PA, on a farm of about 300 acres purchased circa 1860. His gravestone is badly worn and almost unreadable, but is listed in a 1937 DAR reading of this cemetery.
