Ella Joan Laumann was born August 25, 1932 in Hamlet, Nebraska to Clifford and Anna Ferguson, the youngest of 12 children. Joan passed into eternal rest June 22, 2012 in the care of Greeley Hospice. Visitation will be 4:00 to 7:00 pm Tuesday, June 26 at the Tennant Funeral Home in Sterling, Colorado, with Vigil and Rosary Evening service following at 7:00pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 am Wednesday, June 27 at St Anthony's Catholic Church in Sterling, Colorado with Reverend Tim Hjelstrom celebrating. Internment will follow in the Palisade, Nebraska Cemetery.

Joan was united in marriage to Theodore Warren Laumann on February 5, 1951 in McCook Nebraska. In addition to raising 5 children and being a wonderful homemaker, she was the secretary for Laumann Trucking from 1969 through 1995. Joan loved spending time with Ted, their children, grand children and great-grand children. She was always happy to "split a coke" and enjoyed crossword puzzles, reading and reciting poetry; she also liked traveling to Blackhawk, CO and Las Vegas, NV. Joan was a long time member of the St Patrick's Circle. Her cinnamon rolls and cherry pies will be truly missed at family gatherings.

Joan in survived by her husband Ted, sister Joyce Coe, and sister-in-law Joanne Laumann; as well as daughters Chris Crall and Joni (Don) Paxton, and son Steve (Jody) Laumann. Grandchildren: Stephanie (Shawn) Stoll and daughter Stacia; Markus (Lindsay) Laumann and daughters LuAnna, Taylor Ann, and Korey; Michael Laumann; Lincoln (Jennifer Hoffman) Crall; Kasey Crall; Fawney (Bob) Vincent and son Conner; Heather (Walter) Kielian and son Cameron and daughter Hannah; & Travis (David Joy) Paxton; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Joan was preceded in death by her daughter Cathryn and son Scott, her parents Clifford and Anna, her brothers Irvin, Cleo, Carroll, Merle, Dale, Dean and Don, and her sisters Clarice, Twila and Lois. Memorials may be made in Joan Laumann's name to St Anthony's Catholic School in care of Tennant Funeral Home, PO Box 1547, Sterling CO 80751.
