Mrs. Margaret C. (Maggie) DeVilbiss, 98, of 316 East Sixty-ninth Street, died last night at the home. She was born in St. Louis and lived near Tipton, Mo., and at Clyde, Kansas, before moving to Kansas City. She had been a resident of Kansas City 40 years.
Mrs. DeVilbiss was the widow of Frank DeVilbiss, who died in 1920. A son, Dr. Edgar Frank DeVilbiss, a specialist in nervous disorders, died in 1950, and a daughter, Miss Mildred DeVilbiss, owner of the Colonial Rug studios, died in 1951. Mrs. DeVilbiss was a member of the Central Methodist Church.
She leaves two daughters, Mrs. Laura Abernathy and Miss Hattie DeVilbiss, both of the home; a son, Wyeth DeVilbiss, Clearwater, Fla.; four grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
