Charles Claude Hayes, 62, resident of this city for 20 years, died late yesterday afternoon at a local hospital. He was a building contractor and resided here at 5702 Nineteenth avenue south. He came here from Erie, Pa. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mabel Briggs Hayes; a son, Hoyard [sic] Hayes, with the U. S. Army overseas; a daughter, Mrs. Velma Adams, Waycross, Ga.; three brothers, George L. Hayes, Akron, Ohio; Keith Hayes, Dayton, Ohio, and Harold Hayes, in the U. S. Navy, and a sister, Mrs. Lois Willianpart, Pittsburgh, Pa. Funeral arrangements will be announced later by John S. Rhodes.

Funeral services for Charles C. Hayes, who died here Wednesday, will be held tomorrow afternoon at 3:30 o'clock at the John S. Rhodes chapel with Rev. Harris B. Bragan officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park.
