Leo L. Fisher, 92, formerly of Oskaloosa died Sunday, November 23, 2008 at the Good Samaritan Care Center in Ottumwa. Funeral services will be held privately. Harden Funeral Chapel in charge of the arrangements. Leo LaVaughn Fisher was born the son of George Christopher Fisher and Jeannie Bell Moore on June 3, 1916 in Deep River, Iowa. He was united in marriage to Margaret Eliven Neal on April 26, 1934. Leo was inducted into the U.S. Army on June 3, 1945. During his time in the military he served 10 months in Italy as part of the Company D. 313th Med Battalion BN. After the death of his wife, Margaret, he later married Maxine Musgrove. Leo was employed many years at the John Morrell Meat Packing Company. He is survived by a daughter, Loretta (Ray) Thomas of Ottumwa; son-in-law, Jim Poe of Des Moines; grand children: Debbie (Gary) Reid, Kim (Roger) Selle, Lea (Lynn) Sieren, Kerry (Chuck) Lytle, Kristy (Berry) Peer, Kathy Poe, Keith (Sandy) Poe, Kasey (Heather) Poe; great grandchildren: Shawn and Cody Weaver, Chris Reid, Seth Sieren, Lindsay and Kelby Epperson, Lee, Joan, Cody, Alex and Shane Peer, Matthew Lytle, Marcus and Curtis Poe. Leo was also blessed with five great great grandchildren. Leo is preceded in death by his parents; two wives Margaret and Maxine, a daughter Donna Poe; two sisters and their husbands, Bessie (Gene) Robertson and Lois (Gene) Gallager
