Funeral services for Anna Mattie Johnson, 91, of Creighton were held Saturday, June 20 at 10:30 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church in Creighton with Reverend Paul Banitt officiating.
Pallbearers were Andrew Scheinost, David Scheinost, David Jundt, John Scheinost, Phillip Scheinost and Eric Doerr. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery in Creighton.
She was born December 31, 1895 at Plattsmouth, the daughter of John and Elizabeth (Hennings) Schaefer. She died Tuesday, June 16 at Lundberg Memorial Hospital in Creighton.
Her family moved to Knox County in 1910. On April 9, 1919 she married Jerome Scheinost. He died January 20, 1962. She then married Donald Johnson in 1964. He died September 7, 1978.
Survivors include three sons, Earl and Paul Scheinost, both of Omaha and Floyd Scheinost of Raytown, Mo.; 10 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; two brothers, Fred Schaefer of Creighton and Emil Schaefer of Columbus. She was preceded in death by her parents.
