Darrell A. Rogne, age 71, of rural Kiel, (Cedar Lake) passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 19, 2012 shortly after being admitted to Calumet Medical Center, Chilton.

He was born May 26, 1941 in Valders, son of the late Oscar & Helen (Rue) Rogne.

He was a 1959 graduate of Valders High School and served as an Army Medic.

On October 4, 1969 he married Mary Walker in Green Bay.

Mary preceded him in death on June 26, 1989.

On May 23, 2003 he married Beverly Nett at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, New Holstein.

Darrell had been employed at Tecumseh Products, New Holstein for over 30 years as a time study engineer until his retirement. He was fascinated with numbers and kept a record of facts, like how many gallons of water were in Cedar Lake. He enjoyed spending time in his garage, working on lawn mowers and making rock lady bugs. Always a jokester, he also collected silly things like golf balls that he would find, pop can pull tabs of which he kept count of. He had a love for horses, boating, flying and spending time with his grandchildren.

He was a member of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church and the Cedar Lake Improvement Association.

Survivors include his wife Beverly of Cedar Lake, three children; Rachelle (Todd) Zorn of Ft. Atkinson and their children; Landon, Jada, Berlyn Zorn and Jarmaine Jackson, Kristin (Wade) Hodgkinson of Janesville and their children; Kaden & Taia Hodgkinson, David (Theresa) Hrubecky of Mishicot and their children, Alex, Paige, Claire & Max Hrubecky, one stepson, Kurtis (Tracy) Stephany of Chilton and their children;Macy, Belle & Isaak Stephany. He is further survived by two brothers; Gene (Judy) Rogne, Minocqua, Ronald (Betty) Rogne, LaValle, WI, two sisters; Sonja Delgman, Neenah, Signe (Mike) Burkart, New Holstein, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Phyllis (Daryl) Dahl, Fond du Lac, Lois Nett, Loyal, WI, Sheila ("Chip" Ralph) Keifenheim, Mt. Calvary, Vickie (Mike) Hammock, Fond du Lac. father-in-law, Robert Nett, Fond du Lac, other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Cleora Nett and brothers-in-law, Arlyn Nett and Clyde Nett.
