Betty graduated from Utah State College. She married the love of her life and best friend, Douglas Hillman Quayle on September 2, 1947, at her parents' home. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple.
Betty loved boating, traveling, painting, macramé, music and most of all singing; which she did up until the last few days of her life. She also loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Betty was preceded in death by three of her beautiful children, Kris and Steve Quayle and her only daughter, Kathy Johnson. She was also preceded in death by her parents and her siblings. She is survived by her husband, Douglas Quayle; her only surviving son, Richard (Deb) Quayle; 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews all of whom she deeply loved.
Funeral services will be held Friday, June 15, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the St. George 5th & 6th Ward Chapel, 85 S. 400 E., St. George. Friends may call Friday, one hour prior to services at the Chapel and also Thursday, June 14, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Spilsbury Mortuary, 110 S. Bluff St., St. George. Interment will take place in the St. George City Cemetery.
