Hurricane, UT - Shawn Robert Keith, 46, passed away on June 16, 2012 at home in Hurricane after a prolonged illness. He was born February 7, 1966 in American Fork, Utah to Jairus Robert Keith and Gwendolyn Joyce Watkins Keith.

Shawn grew up and attended schools in the Provo/Orem area. He served in the US Navy Reserve, where he worked as a cook. Shawn married Jodi Sue Stika, and they are the parents of Shawna. They were later divorced. He married Lori Lyn Hall May 25, 1996 in Cedar City, Utah. Their marriage was sealed in the St. George LDS Temple May 22, 1998. Shawn and Lori are the parents of Madeline (Maddie), Jairus, and Cameron. Shawn lived with his family in Provo, Cedar City and Hurricane. He studied at SUU and earned an AA in Paralegal Studies and a BA in Criminal Justice/Political Science. Shawn loved fishing, camping, and hunting, and was a fan of country music, especially Diamond Rio. He loved the Utah Jazz and was a die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan. Shawn enjoyed traveling with his family to Fish Lake and Disneyland. He will be remembered for his endless teasing.

Shawn is survived by his wife: Lori; children: Shawna Hetzel (Mike), and Madeline, Jairus, and Cameron Keith; grandchildren: Kaden, Nicole, and Natalie; mother and step-father, Gwen (Chip) Miller; step-mother: Janell Keith; siblings: Rikkey Keith, Cindy Keith, Jackie "J.J." Pulsipher (Brandon), Donnie Wiseman (Ben), Rachel Seguin (Trevor), Mellony Castellano (Nelson), Jill Leishmen (Aaron), and Shawna McKnight. He was preceded in death by his father, Jairus Keith.

Funeral services will be held Monday, June 25, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Hurricane LDS 2nd Ward Chapel, 155 East 1050 North, Hurricane, Utah. Visitations will be held Sunday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Metcalf Hurricane Valley Mortuary, 140 North Main Street and on Monday, prior to services, from 9:30 a.m to 10:30 a.m. at the Chapel. Interment will be held at the Hurricane City Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Metcalf Hurricane Valley Mortuary, (435) 635-9922
