William (William), son of William and Ursula Gravener, was baptized in the parish of St. Leonard's, Bridgnorth 18 Dec 1593 and was buried in the same parish 21 June 1652. He was married 25 Feb 1616/17 at Kingswinford, Staffordshire, near Bobbington, to Susanna Paston, daughter of Rev. George Paston, rector of Drayton-Bassett, Staffordshire. She was buried in the parish of St. Leonard's 20 June 1667.
William was the Church Warden between 1632 and 1635. On 20 Jan 1635, Wm. Gravenor, Thomas Southern and James Wright were named in the Court book (1727-60). It appears that they were being held responsible, as church wardens, for some breach of church law. (the county archivist was unsure of the charge) He was a royalist during the Civil War and was probably among the defenders in the siege of Bridgnorth.
