The funeral for Max Chenoweth, 81, of Woodward, will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Woodward Church of the Nazarene. The Rev. Brian Sorenson will officiate. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery. Arrangements are by John-son's Good Samaritan Funeral Service.
He was born Jan. 18, 1926, south of Woodward, to Robert L. and Myrtle Esther Lucas Chenoweth, and died Saturday, Oct. 20, 2007, in Woodward.
He attended Little Jewell school and graduated from Woodward High School. He served in the Army Infantry during World War II, receiving two Bronze Stars. He graduated from Bethany Nazarene College with a
bachelor's degree in business in 1950. He married Junette Bradley Aug. 14, 1949, in McPherson, Kan. They made their home on a farm southwest of Woodward. In 2005 they retired and moved to Woodward. He was a member of Woodward Church of the Nazarene, where he served on the church board for several years.
Surviving are his wife Junette, of the home; one son, Don Chenoweth of Woodward; one daughter, Kaylene Benoist of Midlothian, Texas; one sister, Maxine Eagon of Bethany; and nine grandchildren.
