Carolyn B. Barghausen, age 92, of Dublin, and formerly a longtime resident of Westerville before retiring to Punta Gorda, Fla., passed away Thursday, October 4, 2007, at Friendship Village of Dublin.
She is preceded in death by her husband Louis B. Barghausen who died in 2000.
Carolyn was a member of Central College Presbyterian Church and the Presbyterian Church of Punta Gorda. In Florida, she volunteered for Meals-On-Wheels for over 5 years. She hosted the first meeting and was a founding member of the Islettes, the Women's Auxiliary of the Isles Yacht Club.
Carolyn leaves her two children and their spouses; four grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held 2 p.m. Monday, October 8, 2007, at the RUTHERFORD FUNERAL HOME at POWELL, 450 West Olentangy St., Powell, OH. 43065, 614-792-1471, where family will receive friends before the service from 1-2 p.m. (The funeral home is located on West Olentangy St./Powell Rd./SR 750, 1/4 mile east of Sawmill Parkway.) If they choose, friends may make memorial contributions to Faith Mission, 315 East Long St., Columbus, Oh. 43215 or The Central College Presbyterian Church, Land Purchase Fund, 975 Sunbury Rd., Westerville, Oh. 43081, in Carolyn's memory.
