Obituary:
West Des Moines Iowa – Ken Uglum, 46, died of an apparent heart attack, Tuesday, March 17, 1998, at Mercy Hospital Medical Ctr., Des Moines.
Services will be at 1 PM Saturday at Westover Funeral Home, Des Moines, where friends may call after 3 PM. Burial will be at Glendale Cemetery, Des Moines.
Mr. Uglum worked at Source One Sales and Marketing Incorporated, as a sales supervisor.
He was born in new Hampton, and had also lived in Mason City, Charles City, and in West Des Moines for the past 10 years.
He was a Vietnam War Army veteran. He also was an active member and past president of the Grocery Manufacturers Association.
Surviving are his wife, Liz (Golinvaux) Uglum, of West Des Moines Iowa, two sons, Christopher Uglum of Cedar Falls, and Brian Uglum of West Des Moines; a daughter, Abby Uglum of West Des Moines, his mother, Mildred Uglum of Freeport Illinois; and a sister, Sandra Schwiesow of Freeport.
Memorials may be given to the Disabled American Veterans, Mercy Hospital Foundation, Des Moines, and to the Ken Uglum Memorial Fund, in care Westover Funeral Home Des Moines Iowa.
