Paul Cowan left family and friends to be with His beloved Savior August 29, 2010 after an 8 month battle with Leukemia. Paul was born June 5, 1942 to Paul and Vera Cowan in Shawnee, Oklahoma.
He received an Industrial Engineering degree from Oklahoma State University. Paul proudly worked with his son, Randy, as a manufacturer's representative. He loved playing the piano for his Sunday School Class at Heritage Baptist Church and for the Men's Bible Study Fellowship. "Goffing" with his golfing buddies came in a close second. Paul and his wife, Karen, celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary at MD Anderson.
Paul is dearly loved by his children Randy and Tracy Cowan, Trey and Amy So Milligan, Danny and Melissa Cowan, Chris and Laura Cowan, and his favorite uncle Clarence Hale. Paul's grandchildren Samantha, Joshua, Hannah, and Ty will miss their sweet Pa Pa Paul. His family wishes to thank all the special people at Cancer Care and Mercy Hospital for their love, support, and care.
Because of Paul's passion for God's Word and the importance it played in his life, in lieu of flowers, please make donations to: Bible Study Fellowship International, 19001 Blanco Road, San Antonio, Texas 78258. Memorial Services will be held at will be held at 11am, Thursday, Sept. 2, at Heritage Baptist Church.
