BARBARA LEE CATHCART--75:
died Satur-day morning [7-31] at her home in Adamsville. Born 8 May 1929 in Jamestown, she was a dau of Glenn & Ruth Betts Bates. She graduated from Jamestown High School in 1947 & married Virgil Cathcart--3 Jun 1950. An active woman all her life, she was a member of Adamsville Presbyterian Church for 54yrs; a welder for the former Blazon plant in Jamestown & a cook for Greenville Diner. She & her husband were life-long member of Trail Blazers Snow Mobile Club of Pymatuning. She enjoyed hunting, but most of all, she loved spending time with her family.
In addition to her husband of 54yrs, survivors include 3 children: Wayne (sp-Kathy)-Adamsvl Linda (sp-Mark) Stewart-Greenvl; Carol (sp-John) Caffas-Meadvl; 5 grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; 6 gr-grandchildren & a sis: ClaraBel Cathcart. She was preceded in death by 2 sis: Mary Crosby & Martha Hudson; 3 bros: Clement Bates, Francis Bates & Robert Bates.
A service will be conducted Tuesday morning [8-03] in the Baird Funrl Home chapel with Rev David Brumagin officiating. Burial will follow at RockyGlenCem in West Fallowfield Twp.
