Jodi A. Beier, 37, of Dakota City, Nebraska passed away on Friday, March 6, 2009 in Colorado from injuries suffered in a snowmobile accident.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Thursday, March 12, 2009 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in South Sioux City, Nebraska with Father Dan Whittrock officiating. Burial will be in St. Michael's Cemetery in South Sioux City. Visitation will begin at 5:00 P.M. with the family present at 5:30 P.M. and a Rosary and Prayer Service at 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday, March 11, 2009 at the Church. Arrangements are under the direction of Mohr Funeral Home in South Sioux City.

Jodi was born to Gene and JoAnn (Goeden) Hirschman on May 14, 1971 in Sioux City, Iowa. She graduated from Homer High School in 1989 and went on to graduate from Briar Cliff College with her BSN. Jodi married Scott Beier on April 29, 1995. She thrived in her career where she was the manager of both the Post Anesthesia Care Unit and the Recovery Care Center at Siouxland Surgery Center in Dakota Dunes.

Jodi was very generous with her time and talents and she always put other people's needs before her own. She participated in the big sister program. Jodi was active at St. Michael's Church, where she taught CCD for many years and devoted an hour each week for Perpetual Adoration. Jodi was a wonderful mother, loving daughter and devoted wife and sister. She was very active and enjoyed life to the fullest. She liked traveling, golfing, boating and camping. Most of all, she cherished spending time with her family and spoiling her nieces and nephews.

Survivors include her husband, Scott Beier; one son, Nicholas; one step-son, Alex; her parents, Gene and JoAnn Hirschman; sisters and brothers, Lisa (Paul) Tighe of Homer, Gary (Cathy) Hirschman of Piedmont, Oklahoma, Mary (Tim) Peskey of Omaha, Matt (Irene) Hirschman of Lincoln; Mark Hirschman of Dakota City, Tami (Brandon) Eaves of Omaha; mother and father-in-law, Aleta and Pete Beier of South Sioux City; sister-in-law, Lisa Paulsen of Sioux City, Iowa, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Jodi was preceded in death by her step-son, Aaron Beier.
