Obituary, 1939: "Mrs. Laura V. Simpson, 81, widow of H. H. Simpson, formerly of Howard County, will be buried today from the home of her daughter, Mrs. Walter Brown, of Howard County. Besides Mrs. Brown the deceased is survived by another daughter, Mrs. Annie L. Earp, Rockville, three sons, D. W. Simpson, Wheaton; Harry G. and Bradley R. Simpson, Dayton, Howard county, and a sister, Mrs. Hester Walters, Randallstown. Interment will be in Providence Cemetery, Glenelg."

In addition to the below named children, another son was born to them named Rezin Bradley Simpson, born Aug. 21, 1880, and died shortly after. His burial place is unknown, although he may be buried in the Johnson Family Cemetery in Dayton, or in a small cemetery on the Simpson farm in Dayton.
