My Grandmother was the kindest and most loving person in my life. She never forgot to feed strays, cats, dogs, or others including hobos that would stop and ask for work. She would just tell them to sit out back and she'd bring them food. She tried to treat others as she wanted to be treated.
On more than one occasion, Grandmother explained to me, that her true Mother died because of complications of childbirth and that her true father "went crazy" thereafter, and left the family. He left her and her two sisters with her stepparents which were her aunt and uncle, in true relationship. And that was the only family she ever knew and she considered them her mother and father, William H. Robarts and Mary Alice Phillips Robarts.

Grandma died when I was 16 and many years passed before I had the time to search her history and I had forgotten names and particulars of such stories BUT through MUCH research on what I could remember... And thanks to Findagrave and their contributors, and Family Search, and the Good Lord I have finally found our family! Therefore I'm able to leave that legacy to those that come after me, how wonderful!
Siblings: 1900 Census, all born in Arkansas as follows: Lillian G Phillips 21, Floyd H Phillips 18, Clara B Phillips 16, Ethel M Phillips 13, John G Phillips 10
