She was a founder of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution, and the wife of Confederate General Roger A. Pryor.

He was, in 1792, a member of the convention which framed the first constitution of the State of Kentucky.

Great-granddaughter of Col. John Otey, of Bedford, Va., and Mary Hopkins, his wife. Col. John Otey served as colonel and captain of a battalion of riflemen.
