Services for Mary Evelyn Johnson, age 77, of Rentz, will be held on Monday, June 25, 2012 at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Northview Cemetery. Rev. Curtis Scott will officiate.
Mrs. Johnson was the daughter of the late John Wesley Howell and the late Hessie Lee Heath Howell. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Johnson attended Lighthouse Church of God and she loved caring for her family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Douglas Edison Lumley, Sr. and two brothers, Marcell Howell and Ray Howell. Mrs. Johnson passed away Thursday, June 21, 2012.
Survivors include her children; Dwight (Cathy) Lumley, of Dublin, GA, James Lumley of Jacksonville, FL, Sue (James) Price of Wrightsville, GA, Wanda (Paul) Morgan of Jacksonville, FL, John (Glenda) Lumley of Glen St. Mary, FL and Vickie Lumley Centeno of Atlantic Beach, FL; 19 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Linda Lumley of Dublin; brothers, Charles W. Howell, of Sandersville, GA and Johnny Howell, of Dublin, GA; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Mrs. Johnson's grandsons, Brent Centeno, Devin Centeno, Douglas Lumley, Jr., Brian Lumley, Jeremy Lumley and Todd Lumley.
The family will receive friends on Sunday from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home
