Miles Gibson, Jr, 87, of Junction City passed away Thursday, January 17, 2019. Born April 22, 1931, he was the son of the late Miles and Lucy Bradley Gibson. He was retired from KY Hydrocarbon in Maytown, KY and a member of Junction City Baptist Church. Miles loved farming, fishing and woodworking.He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Alta Jean Hicks Gibson; son, Dr. Miles Kenton (Teresa) Gibson of Russell Springs; sister, Stella Martin of Maytown; four grandchildren: Brian (Renee) Bentley of Paintsvile, Adam (Heather) Gibson of Louisville, Chad Gibson of Russell Springs and Meghan (Eric) Ealy of Russell Springs; and eight great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Phillip Gibson; a daughter, Janie Elizabeth Bentley; and by one sister and four brothers.
Visitation is 5:30-7:30 pm, Saturday at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home. Services will be at 2 pm, Sunday by Bro. Dale Denton and Bro. Choe Sargent. Burial will be private at Danville Memorial Gardens.
