Haley Anne Parker, 16, went to be with her Lord Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at Brenner's Children's Hospital following a courageous twenty-one month battle with cancer.
Haley was born in Chicago, IL, August 31, 1995, a daughter of Richard and Donna Cooper Parker. A resident of North Carolina the past 16 years, she was a member of Renaissance Road Church where she was active with the Youth group, Praise team and Wow team. Haley was a young lady of faith who had a great spirit, a beautiful voice and an amazing smile.
Surviving are her parents, Donna Marie Lawson and Richard Parker; step-parents, Hope Parker and Mark Lawson; sister, Calyn Parker, brothers, Joseph Cooper and Zach Parker; step-siblings; grandparents, great-grandmothers, family and friends.
A Celebration of Haley's life will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Davis Funerals and Cremations Chapel by Pastor Jason Goins. Interment will follow in Floral Garden Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 6 until 8 p.m. Memorials should be directed to Brenner's Children's Hospital.
