Mayme Alice Clark was born on February 12, 1887 in Lima, Adams, Illinois. She as the daughter of George Washington Clark and Nancy Lucinda Wood.
On August 6, 1907 she married Roy Edwin Riley in St Joseph, Buchanan, Missouri. They had four children. The family spent a number of years living in Richland, Montana and later moved to Santa Monica, Los Angeles, California and later Lennox/Inglewood, California. She owned a house in Redondo Beach and it was still her property at the time of her death.
Mayme entered a nursing home in Hawthorne about three years before her death. She died in that nursing home following a stroke, passing away on October 16, 1973 at the age of 86.
